My name is Cameron Tilus and I am a lifelong follower of Jesus and lover of learning and growing in my understanding of the truth. I have a beautiful family of four that I love deeply, and they are my priority, which means my blog posts can come infrequently as a result. I come from a Pentecostal/Charismatic background and have an educational background in Christian ministry with graduate degrees in theology and leadership. I spent ten years in youth ministry in local churches with a wide range of experiences. Most recently I have spent time in higher education and am now working for a large company in the aviation industry, interacting with people from diverse backgrounds everyday. My goal with this blog is to share thoughts about issues where I often see Christians misunderstand how to follow Jesus. So often we find ourselves believing lies that are conveniently based off partial truths and take root because of our misunderstanding of Scripture, and I want to share some occasional thoughts that clarify the truth and bring freedom to those who like me want to follow Jesus the best they can.
